Welcome to Women of Reform Judaism's Northeast District. Women of Reform Judaism, an affiliate of the Union for Reform Judaism, is the collective voice and presence of women in congregational life. Stronger together, we support the ideals and enhance the quality of Jewish living to ensure the future of progressive Judaism in North America, Israel and around the world.

Convention Is Coming - November 3-6, 2016

Come join Women of the Northeast District at our Fifth Biennial Convention. Our theme is
Kol Isha - Voices In Harmony. Connect with friends to learn, share, listen, pray, and celebrate together.


Our Scholar-In-Residence is Cantor Claire Franco, from The Community Synagogue, Port Washington, NY.

WRJ Vice President of Affilate Services, Sherri Feuer from Temple Israel, Minneapolis, MN, will join us as our WRJ Representative.

Programming Highlights include:

  • Thursday evening opening plenary featuring Gloria Glanz, a Hidden Child and Holocaust survivor



  • A Pajama party - come in yours, or order a Northeast District t-shirt and flannel pajama bottoms. Our order form is coming soon!
  • Shabbat services led by Cantor Franco and the WRJ Northeast District Choir - register for choir to participate
  • Torah Study
  • Workshops to stimulate learning, creativity, and spirituality

    We have fabulous workshops available for you to choose. Click here to see workshop titles and descriptions. Workshop choices must be made when you register so please look at them before you start the registration process.

    Convention Registration Fees

    The Convention fee includes the registration fee (for all programming and materials) and the cost of meals. Meals included in the fee are:
    Dinner on Thursday
    Lunch and Dinner on Friday
    Three meals on Saturday
    Lunch on Sunday
    BREAKFAST IS ONLY INCLUDED FOR SATURDAY! You will be on your own on Friday and Sunday.

    All rates and funds are in US dollars. Rates for food and registration are as follows:

    Early Bird Convention Fee (includes $125 registration fee) until September 18, 2016.
    Three nights (Thursday – Sunday) – registration and all seven meals – is $355.
    Any two nights - registration and 5 meals - is $300.

    Regular Convention Fee (includes $145 registration fee) from September 19 – October 10, 2016.
    Three nights (Thursday - Sunday) - registration and all seven meals - is $375.
    Any two nights - registration and five meals - is $320.

    The last day to register is October 10, 2016. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS!

    Hotel Reservations - Albany Marriott, Albany, NY

    We are asking women to make their own hotel reservations. Room rates are $119 per room/per night. You can make your reservations online via the registration form by Thursday, October 13, or by clicking here. If you prefer you can call the hotel at 800-228-9290 and use our group code WRJ.
